For Your Viewing and Listening Pleasure

I'm trying not to drool as I type this blog post.

*Googly heart eyes*

Jon Bellion
*drooling* (I'm not being professional at all right meow. Oops)

Back to business.

Meet Jon Bellion. You're gonna want to remember his name cause he's about to do some real big things.

Jon Bellion has been making music (strictly as a producer) since the age of 14 until a few years ago when he gave singing and rapping 'a shot'.

Pretty nice shot, I think!!!!!!

Now you can Google his name and find a massive amount of links and articles on this gent.

But let's backtrack a bit, yeah?

He went to my first college, (would yah look at that?!) and is friends with another artist I blogged about (see: Zero The Comet). Small world.

Anyway, he's released a bunch of tracks and albums before he really caught the attention of the music biz.

It was funny going through his soundcloud and youtube and not find a bunch of songs that i have in my library. I guess i'm just a lucky duck.

Let's get to the music.

Jon Bellion fuses rap, pop, and indie music to create this really cool sound that you can't help but like. It's like....Rap/Soul Indie Pop. Yeah, let's just make a new genre like Zero the Comet did. It works, so let's just go with it.

His first big burst of attention came with a little song called 'Claps and Auto-tune For Lovers'. Y'all can youtube it. It's super catchy and once you've finished having a listen to that you'll want to explore more.

Fast forward like a year or two and you'll see that he got signed to Visionary Music Group!  Congrats!

Since signing he released an album called 'Translation Through Speakers' Im gonna link y'all to his music, but off this album I'm grinning at 'Dead Man Walking'.
Listen and love it:

Alright now you may think this is off topic but I promise it's not!

Y'all know about the new Eminem song that he just released with Rihanna, right? And that crazy catchy hook that Rihanna sings.... "I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed..."

Yeah.

Well Mr. Bellion is the genius behind that hook.

I KID YOU NOT!

The Monster was originally making its way towards being an indie dance track until, while he was in the studio with singer Bebe Rexha and producer Frequency, he came up with the hook. The song was set, but Frequency probably made the best decision ever.

He sent the hook to Shady Records and within a week they got a call that Shady himself wanted the hook.

And well, you know how big that record is now. Everyone is singing that hook.

Everything is gonna change for Mr. Bellion.

Just this past November he released another album. (He just doesn't stop)

'The Separation" is a dope ass album! If you think that's not enough well then lucky for you he shot 4 music videos!  He shot videos for the songs 'NewYorkSoul', 'Jim Morrison', 'One More Time', and my favorite song off the album, 'Ungrateful Eyes'

Check it:

This beautiful gentleman is gonna be doing some great things and I won't be surprised if y'all see him more and more within the next couple years.
